ABOUT JO

IMG_2011

My name is Jo Das. I attended FIT(Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC and worked in the Fashion & Interior Decorating industries for ten years before becoming a full time mother of three amazing kids!! Being a mom doesn’t lend itself to much style self expression but I pretend the world is my personal runway, even if I am only going to the supermarket :).

The Mamanista tries to always looks chic and fashionable whether she is doing daily errands or running her kids all over town to soccer practice or math tutors. Her house is beautiful and organized despite having little kids running around. She does her best to make beauty and style a daily part of her life.

My personal style is a little boho, a little rocker, with a little vintage thrown in. I believe that looking effortless and cool is what makes a woman look chic. My home style is boho farmhouse with some shabby chic. I love the comfort and ease of this style and I adore pastels. My cooking style is almost always healthy. I try and always alter unhealthy recipes and make them lower in fat and calories while trying not to compromise taste. I love throwing parties that inspire me to do many DIY craft projects which I will share with you!

This blog will show weekly outfits I wear, ritzy vs. reasonable looks, runway trends to try, healthy recipes, decor ideas, DIY crafts, party ideas and anything that inspires me.

There are many blogs out there, but this one is specifically for moms who feel that even though they have had children they don’t have to lose their sense of self.  Practical, effortless fashion, design and style from the inside out!

Please join me on my style journey through life where I hope I can inspire the inner fashionista or mamanista in you!
